What is Spindle Bobbin Crash Protection?

Sitting both sides of the rear wheel, EP Spindle Bobbins for the ZX-10RR Performance protect the lower swing arm, brake calipers and sprocket carriers. The nylon and aluminium bobbin heads protrude from the wheel, hoping to be first to receive impact should an incident occur. The nylon bobbin is able to rotate above the aluminium core bringing greater durability to the part and removing stress from the wheel.
